West Ham set to cut short Zaza deal

West Ham look set to bring Simone Zaza’s disappointing loan spell to an end, reports Sky Sports.

The Italian secured a summer move to the Hammers and has since gone on to make 11 appearances in all competitions.

However, the 25-year-old failed to score in any of his outings under Slaven Bilic and, as such, West Ham are expected to terminate his loan deal early.

Had Zaza made 14 appearances for the east London side, they would have been obliged to make his loan move permanent.

That, though, is unlikely to happen now with Zaza having already played his last game for the club.

The Italy international hasn’t made an appearance for the Hammers since coming off the bench in the disappointing 4-1 loss to Manchester United in the EFL Cup.

A knee injury has also ruled him out of the last three games as West Ham eye up potential January targets.

Valencia are now thought to be keen on Zaza, who is not expected to return to Juventus in the long term.
