Leicester will demand Sunderland pay at least £10m to sign Leonardo Ulloa in January, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Ulloa, 30, has dropped down the pecking order since the start of last season and the club-record arrival of Islam Slimani over the summer has reduced his first-team chances even more.
Sunderland manager David Moyes is ready to invest in January in a bid to salvage their season and has earmarked the signing of the Argentine striker as key to their survival hopes, to help ease the burden on Jermain Defoe.
However, the Foxes are not desperate to sell Ulloa and will be looking to recoup the £8m they spent to sign the former Brighton striker in 2014 plus make a profit.
Since the start of last season only Jamie Vardy (1 every 151.5 mins) has required fewer minutes per league goal for Leicester than Ulloa (1 every 176.6 mins).
