Valencia have confirmed they have signed Geoffrey Kondogbia from Inter on a permanent basis.
Kondogbia flourished on a season-long loan deal for Valencia and played an integral part in their return to the Champions League for the 2018/19 campaign.
Los Che have now triggered a £25m clause in Kondogbia’s loan deal to make the switch permanent from Inter.
The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Valencia and Marcelino’s side have inserted a €80m (£70.2m) buy-out clause.
Kondogbia struggled to make any impact during his time at Inter but has since rediscovered his best form for Valencia.
In fact, only Real Madrid duo Casemiro (7.49) and Toni Kroos (7.47) and Valencia team-mate Daniel Parejo (7.41) secured a higher WhoScored rating than Kondogbia (7.40) of all central midfielders in La Liga this season.
Furthermore, of the 89 players that attempted at least 50 dribbles in La Liga, Kondogbia had the best success rate (86%).
