Liverpool and Manchester United target completes China switch
Guangzhou Evergrande have confirmed the signing of Anderson Talisca on a six-month loan deal.
The Brazilian, who has impressed in Turkey over the last two years with Besiktas during his loan stint from Benfica, had been linked with a summer switch to Premier League pair Liverpool and Manchester United.
Tottenham and Wolves were also rumoured to be in the running, but Talisca will now spend the next six months with the Chinese Super League giants.
"Guangzhou Evergrande has officially announced the signing of an agreement with the Brazilian Anderson Talisca, who has been loaned for six months,” Guangzhou Evergrande announced, via Sky Sports.
The 24-year-old scored 14 goals and registered seven assists for Besiktas to return a WhoScored.com rating of 7.36 as the Super Lig side finished fourth to secure a Europa League berth next season.
He’ll now link up with compatriots Alan and Ricardo Goulart in China as Guangzhou Evergrande look to successfully defend their Chinese Super League crown.
However, with 11 games played, they currently find themselves five points behind Shanghai SIPG FC.
