Manchester United star set for double-your-money deal

Manchester United plan to reward Scott McTominay with a bumper new deal to reflect his growing importance, claims The Sun.

McTominay has emerged as one of United's most important players under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has been hailed a future captain for the Red Devils.

The Scotland international only penned fresh terms with United at the start of the year and his current £30,000-a-week contract doesn't expire until 2023.

However, United are now preparing a new long-term contract worth in the region of £60,000-a-week for the 23-year-old.

McTominay's reputation has soared in the last few months and Solskjaer has even labelled the midfielder as 'undroppable'.

Solskjaer believes McTominay has set the standard for which he wants every United player to conduct themselves on the pitch and plans to build his midfield around him.

Only Marcus Rashford (7.37) has a higher WhoScored rating than McTominay (7.16) of all United players in the Premier League this season.

Furthermore, only three players have been fouled more times than McTominay (37) in the Premier League this season.
