Southampton have confirmed the arrival of Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker-Peters on loan for the remainder of the season.
Ralph Hassenhuttl's side have been heavily linked with a move for Walker-Peters all month, as they look to bolster the right side of their defence.
Yan Valery has been ruled out for the most of the season and Southampton have been forced to rely on Cedric Soares, who wanted to leave in the summer.
Walker-Peters failed to capitalise on Kieran Trippier's departure in the summer and will now be allowed regular playing time at St. Mary's.
Tottenham's decision to allow Walker-Peters does raise eyebrows, however, as they are unlikely to sign a replacement.
It means that any injury to Serge Aurier will leave Mourinho without a recognisied right-back and Juan Foyth has failed to make a positive impression under the new Tottenham boss.
Walker-Peters has only made one appearance under Mourinho and that came in their 3-1 defeat away to Bayern Munich before Christmas.
The 22-year-old has made five appearances in total this season and has only finished on the winning side on one occasion (vs Aston Villa).

I just want to win as many games as possible and enjoy playing football. “I had a chat with the manager and he assured me I was the type of player he liked and I got that feeling from watching Southampton that I could fit in well.”
