Fulham have made their move to sign Brazilian midfielder Andre despite seemingly opting against signing the 22-year-old this month, according to FootballTransfers.
The youngster had been linked with moves to Manchester United and Liverpool but Fulham look to have stolen a march on their Premier League rivals in the race to sign the midfielder.
Andre played a key role in Fluminense's seventh-placed finish in the 2023 Brasileirao campaign and was instrumental in their Copa Libertadores success over Boca Juniors back in November.
Andre finished the Brazilian domestic campaign top for passes per game (79.9) and returned the best pass success rate (94.8%) in the division to boost his reputation.
And it has been reported elsewhere that Fulham have bid £30m for Andre plus a further £5m in add-ons for the Brazil international.
Fulham are looking to strengthen in the middle of the park as they look to avoid being caught short in a key area of the pitch.
Cottagers ball winner Joao Palhinha was heavily linked with a move to Bayern last summer and while the Portugal international is unlikely to leave this month, the German side may make a move for the 28-year-old in the off-season.
