West Ham reject chance to sign Brazilian attacker

West Ham have turned down the opportunity to sign current Chelsea striker Alexandre Pato, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The Brazilian moved to Stamford Bridge earlier in the year, yet only made his first appearance of the season in last weekend's 4-0 win at Aston Villa.

Pato was on target in the victory and could lead the attack at Swansea this afternoon, though he is not expected to feature as part of Antonio Conte's plans next term.

The 26-year-old was linked with a move to West Ham in January before his move to Chelsea, but the Hammers have since rejected the chance to bring Pato to east London.

West Ham are instead targetting the likes of Christian Benteke, Michy Batshuayi, Alexandre Lacazette and Wilfried Bony in attempt to bolster their frontline.
