Hull defender ruled out for two months

Hull have announced defender Andrew Robertson will be sidelined for up to eight weeks with a calf injury.

Robertson, 22, was forced off after the hour mark in Hull’s 6-1 defeat to Bournemouth at the weekend and scan results revealed their worst fears.

The Scotland international will not only miss a crucial period for Hull, but also Scotland’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against England at Wembley next month.

“Andy Robertson is likely to be sidelined for up to eight weeks with the injury sustained against Bournemouth at the weekend,” a statement read on Hull’s official website.

“The Scottish international damaged his calf during the second half of the defeat at the Vitality Stadium, with subsequent scans showing that the left-back is set for a spell on the sidelines.”
