The agent of Gerard Deulofeu has revealed his client would join Roma this summer to replace Mohamed Salah.
Barcelona are expected to activate their option to buy Deulofeu back this summer after he enjoyed a thoroughly impressive second half of last season with Milan.
Deulofeu is currently away with the Spain U21 squad at the European Championships but is technically still an Everton player although his future is up in the air.
Roma are on the market for a player to succeed Salah after he was sold to Liverpool for a deal in excess of £34m and Deulofeu’s agent, Gines Carvajal, has hinted his client could be the man to fill Salah’s boots.
“Everything remains to be seen, but Roma are a great club and an option,” he told Romanews, via Football Italia.
Deulofeu only managed 16 league appearances for Milan last season after joining on loan from Everton in January but the Spaniard made a real impression, scoring four goals and registering three assists in that time.
In fact, no Milan player created more chances per game (2.5) and only Giacomo Bonaventura (3.2) completed more dribbles per game than Deulofeu (2.9) in Serie A last season.
