Sevilla enter race for Draxler

Sevilla have entered the race to sign Julian Draxler with the Wolfsburg creator set to leave the Bundesliga club in January, reports Bild.

Draxler, 24, has reportedly played his last game for Wolfsburg after expressing his desire to leave the club at the next available moment, which was meant by a fierce backlash from their home supporters.

The Germany international has already been heavily linked with a January move to Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, with Wolfsburg demanding €35m (£29.4m), but Sevilla have now reportedly expressed a keen interest in his services next month.

Jorge Sampaoli’s side already boast an incredible range of attacking options but Draxler’s arrival would certainly increase their chances in the latter stages of the Champions League after Christmas.

However, it hasn’t been a good season for Draxler so far. No player has had more shots without scoring a goal in the Bundesliga this season than Draxler (25).
