Also included in our team are players from England, Finland, Slovenia, Turkiye and Georgia.

Karl Darlow (Wales) - 7.25

Leeds United goalkeeper Karl Darlow made his first senior appearance for Wales in Monday’s win over Montenegro, and earns a place in our Team of the Round for his efforts. The 33-year-old made four saves and 10 ball recoveries, while he also returned a respectable 67% pass success rate.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (England) - 7.61

One player that looks to be seriously enjoying life under interim England coach Lee Carsley is Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold. Fresh from a fine display against Ireland at the weekend, the 25-year-old ran the game against Finland at Wembley on Tuesday, making five key passes, four accurate long balls, and providing the assist for Harry Kane’s opener.

Arttu Hoskonen (Finland) - 7.54

Despite ultimately falling to defeat against England, Finnish defender Arttu Hoskonen can be proud of a valiant performance at Wembley. Hoskonen was largely responsible for the contest remaining goalless at half-time, with his 12 clearances, four interceptions and five ground duels won crucial to Finland’s defensive effort.

Vanja Drkusic (Slovenia) - 7.47

Slovenian centre-back Vanja Drkusic makes our Team of the Round following a solid display in his side’s 3-0 victory over Kazakhstan on Monday evening. The 24-year-old completed 70 of the 75 passes he attempted, while he also made two tackles, six clearances and eight ball recoveries, in a strong all-round showing.

Ben Davies (Wales) - 7.52

The second of three Wales representatives in our XI is Tottenham defender Ben Davies, who was comfortable in the victory over Montenegro on Monday. Davies made one key pass, four accurate long balls, two tackles, three blocks, three clearances and two interceptions, to return a WhoScored rating of 7.52.

Arda Güler (Turkiye) - 8.08

Turkish starlet Arda Guler turned in yet another fine performance for his country in the 3-1 win over Iceland this week. The teenager made four key passes - one assisting Kerem Akturkoglu - as well as three successful dribbles, six accurate long balls and five ball recoveries, for a WhoScored rating of 8.08.

Giorgi Kochorashvili (Georgia) - 8.12

Georgia made it two wins from two at the beginning of their Nations League campaign, and will have midfielder Giorgi Kochorashvili to thank for netting the match-winning goal against Albania on Tuesday night. The 25-year-old also made one key pass, two successful dribbles, two tackles and five ball recoveries, in an all-action display.

Harry Wilson (Wales) - 8.98

The star of the show for Wales this week was Fulham attacker Harry Wilson, who was directly involved in both of his side’s goals in the victory over Montenegro. Wilson provided the assist for Kieffer Moore to open the scoring inside the first minute, before finding the net himself with a spectacular effort only two minutes later. In all, the 27-year-old made three key passes, two tackles, six ball recoveries and four accurate long balls, to earn a WhoScored rating of 8.98.

Kerem Akturkoglu (Turkiye) - 9.98

The first of two hat-trick heroes in our Team of the Round is Turkish winger Kerem Akturkoglu, who netted all three of the goals in Monday’s home victory over Iceland. The now-Benfica attacker also made three key passes, two successful dribbles and five ball recoveries, in a wonderful showing.

Harry Kane (England) - 9.50

On his landmark 100th appearance for England, who else but Harry Kane to fire the Three Lions to victory over Finland at Wembley? The Bayern Munich star had a goal ruled out for a marginal offside in the first half, but eventually got his moment when he sent a rocket beyond Lukas Hradecky after 57 minutes. Kane then finished off a fine team move 19 minutes later to all but seal all three points for the hosts.

Benjamin Sesko (Slovenia) - 10.0

Rounding off our Team of the Round is the highest rated player, Slovenia’s red-hot hitman Benjamin Sesko, who bagged a hat-trick against Kazakhstan on Monday evening. Sesko found the net with three of his seven attempts on goal, with six of those on target, while he also made five successful dribbles and won nine aerial duels, to earn a perfect 10.0 WhoScored rating.
