Leon Bailey

Leon Bailey was forced off early in the first half of the 2-1 win at Leicester prior to the international break. "It is a hamstring. I don't know exactly how bad his injury is," head coach Unai Emery said after the victory at the King Power Stadium. However, Bailey has been included in Villa's travelling squad, suggesting the issue isn't serious.

Matty Cash

Matty Cash will miss the trip to Young Boys owing to a hamstring injury. "It’s something in the hamstring," Emery said of the right-back following his early withdrawal in the 2-0 loss to Arsenal. Cash is likely to be available again later this month.

Tyrone Mings

Following a year on the sidelines, Tyrone Mings is back in training as he recovers from a serious knee issue. However, Mings is still some way off a first team return as he builds up fitness, so he's likely to remain out until after the October international break.

Boubacar Kamara

Another back in training, Boubacar Kamara suffered an ACL injury in Aston Villa's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United back in February. However, like Mings, Kamara needs to work on his fitness and is also expected to remain sidelined for the next month or so.

Amadou Onana

Amadou Onana came off at the break in the 3-2 win over Everton, and it could be that he will be assessed having gone down a couple of times at the weekend. "I decided to change tactically for Onana," Unai Emery said after the victory, so the Belgian should be fine to feature.

Ollie Watkins

After Jhon Duran came off the bench to win the game for Aston Villa against Everton, Emery may use the Colombia international from the outset to hand Ollie Watkins a rest. Watkins has previously stated he isn't 100% fit following the Euros and with the games coming thick and fast, the 28-year-old may drop to the bench.
