Form Guide
Leicester head into Tuesday's match with the wind behind them. The Foxes are unbeaten in their last five in the Premier League and can go top of the Premier League with three points here.
Chelsea battled to a much-needed 1-0 win over Fulham last time out but are down in seventh and six points behind opponents Leicester. Frank Lampard's side have only won two of their last seven Premier League matches and recently lost three away games in a row.
Leicester have surprisingly won just two of their last 21 matches with Chelsea and haven't won on home soil against tonight's opponents since 2015.
Team News
Leicester's injury problems have really cleared over the last few weeks with Dennis Praet now the only confirmed absentee. Jamie Vardy is carrying a slight hip problem into Tuesday's match but Brendan Rodgers expects him to be available to start. Vardy has a tremendous record against the top-six in general but against Chelsea he only has three in 11 previous league encounters.
N'Golo Kante is back from suspension but has now been ruled out against his former club through injury. Ben Chilwell will face former club Leicester for the first time since leaving them for Chelsea in the summer. Frank Lampard keeps teasing more involvement for Callum Hudson-Odoi but that is yet to really materalise, with Timo Werner and Kai Havertz also facing another game on the bench. Reece James could return for the away side, but Antonio Rudiger will hope to keep his place in the team over Kurt Zouma after Chelsea kept a clean sheet last time out.
Probable XIs
Leicester (352): Schmeichel; Fofana, Evans, Soyuncu; Castagne, Ndidi, Tielemans, Justin; Maddison; Barnes, Vardy
Chelsea (433): Mendy; James, Rudiger, Silva, Chilwell; Kovacic, Jorginho, Mount; Ziyech, Giroud, Pulisic
Key Battle: James Maddison vs Mason Mount
After an injury hit start to the season, James Maddison has certainly found his feet for Leicester in recent weeks. Maddison still believes there is a place in the England squad for him ahead of Euro 2020 and it will be in these big matches where he can strengthen a case for a recall. Maddison has impressively played a direct hand in seven goals in 16 league appearances this season despite starting only 11 times. He is just two goal involvements shy of equalling last season's tally.
Albeit not in direct competition for the same positon for England, it's only natural to draw comparisons with Chelsea's Mason Mount ahead of their meeting. Mount came in for undue criticism at the start of the season but has since really established himself as one of the Premier League's best midfielders. Only three players are registering more key passes per game than Mount (2.6) in the league this season and he has also chipped in with five goal involvements despite playing a deeper role.
Scoreline Prediction: Leicester 2-1 Chelsea
