Here we run through the best rated XI from the midweek Champions League action, with additional information about their Football INDEX share prices.

Goalkeeper: Andriy Pyatov (Shakhtar Donetsk) - 8.36 rating

Football INDEX share price - N/A

Shakhtar Donetsk came from behind to beat Atalanta away from home on Wednesday and pick up their first win of the campaign, though had goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov to thank. The 35-year-old saved a penalty after 15 minutes, which was one of four saves the veteran made against the Serie A side. Pyatov also succesfully claimed two crosses.

Right-back: Juan Cuadrado (Juventus) - 8.08 rating

Football INDEX share price - £0.44

With Danilo and Mattia De Sciglio both ruled out for Juventus, Juan Cuadrado was asked to deputise at right-back and the 31-year-old did so with aplomb, as the Serie A giants ran out 3-0 winners at home to Bayer Leverkusen. Not only did Cuadrado carry out his defensively work diligently, completing five tackles and interceptions combined, the Colombian was typically a threat going forward. He completed three dribbles, registered two key passes and won five fouls.

Centre-back: Nemanja Milunovic (FK Crvena Zvezda) - 7.92 rating

Football INDEX share price - N/A

Nemanja Milunovic followed up an impressive outing in defeat to Bayern Munich with another eye-catching display in FK Crvena Zvezda's 3-1 win over Olympiacos on Tuesday. The Serbian outfit came from behind to win, with Milunovic heading in with three minutes remaining to put his side into the lead. The 30-year-old made three clearances and won five aerial duels to help his side nover the line, while impressively completing 92.1% of his passes.

Champions League Team of the Week: Bayern Munich duo score perfect 10 ratings

Centre-back: Carlos Cuesta (Genk) - 7.76 rating

Football INDEX share price - N/A

Genk surprisingly managed to hold Napoli to a goalless draw on Wednesday night, a result that would have pleased Liverpool hugely. The woodwork denied Napoli twice but there were also some impressive displays at the back from the Belgian side. Carlos Cuesta made a clearance off the line midway through the first half and finished as the WhoScored Man of the Match award. The 20-year-old couldn't have hoped for a better Champions League debut.

Left-back: Renan Lodi (Atletico Madrid) - 7.87 rating

Football INDEX share price - £0.98

Renan Lodi is one of two Atletico Madrid players in the best rated XI after the Spanish side ran out 2-0 winners away to Lokomotiv Moscow on Tuesday night. The 21-year-old completed seven tackles and interceptions combined to help Atletico keep another clean sheet in Europe, while also registering two key passes and testing Lokomotiv goalkeeper Guilherme with his only attempt on goal.

Left wing: Lionel Messi (Barcelona) - 9.45 rating

Football INDEX share price - £5.16

Not fully fit and without finding the back of the net, you'd be forgiven for assuming Lionel Messi had an off not as Barcelona came from 1-0 down to beat Inter 2-1 on Wednesday. However, you'd be wrong. Messi was at his dazzling best, partcularly in the second half and helped swing the game in his team's favour. Messi completed 10 dribbles, a record in a Champions League game this season, hit the target with three of his four shots and registered six key passes. It was Messi's brilliance that assisted Luis Suarez for the winner.

Central midfield: Marko Marin (FK Crvena Zvezda) - 8.64 rating

Football INDEX share price - N/A

Yes, this is the Marko Marin previously of Chelsea. Marin spent four years at Chelsea, which included four seperate loan spells, but now plys his trade in Serbia. The 30-year-old turned in a key performance in FK Crvena Zvezda's 3-1 win at home to Olympiacos, registering two assists in the closing minutes to help secure the win for his side. With such a decisive impact, he unsurprisingly finished as the WhoScored Man of the Match. Marin registered seven key passes in total, bettered only by Real Madrid's Toni Kroos in the midweek action.

Central midfield: Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid) - 8.57 rating

Football INDEX share price - £0.86

Given the uncertainty around Thomas Partey's future in the summer, it's a surprise no one tested Atletico Madrid's resolve with an offer. The 26-year-old turned in a WhoScored Man of the Match display in their 2-0 win in Russia in midweek, confirming all three points with a tap in shortly after half time. In addition to scoring, Partey made six tackles and two interceptions combined, won two aerial duels and registering three key passes. He also completed 91.4% of his passes and amassed 99 touches on the ball, more than any other Atletico player.

Champions League Team of the Week: Bayern Munich duo score perfect 10 ratings

Right wing: Serge Gnabry (Bayern Munich) - 10.0 rating

Football INDEX share price - £2.45

Serge Gnabry enjoyed a happy return to north London after the former Arsenal academy graduate scored four goals and registered one assist in a blistering display in Bayern Munich's stunning 7-2 win away to Tottenham. The Germany international famously couldn't get into Tony Pulis' West Brom side a few years ago but the 24-year-old finishes gameweek two of this season's Champions League group stage as our player of the week.

Striker: Artem Dzyuba (Zenit) - 8.92 rating

Football INDEX share price - £0.38

Zenit continued their unbeaten start to the Champions League this season in a highly competitive Group G, with a 3-1 win at home to Benfica on Wednesday. 31-year-old Artem Dzyuba finished as the WhoScored Man of the Match after scoring in the victory. Dzyuba also won 10 aerial duels against Benfica, a milestone no player beat across the midweek Champions League action. The Zenit striker had three shots in total and also registered five key passes.

Striker: Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) - 10.0 rating

Football INDEX share price - £1.88

Robert Lewandowski is the second Bayern Munich player to garner a perfect WhoScored 10 rating in the Champions League this week. The Poland international scored two goals in Bayern's destructive win over Tottenham, showcasing why he is considered one of the best out-and-out strikers in the world. He gave Bayern a 2-1 lead on the stroke of half-time with a sublime strike from the edge of the box before showing great technique to finish Philippe Coutinho's spinning through ball first time midway through the second half.
