Man City hitman Erling Haaland surges up the Premier League form standings

Manchester City star Erling Haaland is back in the form standings following his hat-trick against Wolves last time out, while there is a place in the top three for a Manchester United star. However, it's a familiar Newcastle face back in top spot as we run through the form standings ahead of the weekend's Premier League action.

10. Karou Mitoma (Brighton) - 7.46

Rising up the form leaderboard to 10th, Karou Mitoma has been superb for Brighton since establishing himself as a first team regular under Roberto Di Zerbi. All four goals he has scored this season have come in his last six league outings, and you wouldn't bet against Mitoma adding to that against Bournemouth this weekend.

9. David Raya (Brentford) - 7.47

Another riser into the top 10, David Raya has been attracting interest from a number of Premier League heavy hitters given his fine form between the Brentford sticks this season. Raya won the WhoScored man of the match award prior to the FA Cup fourth round games and his solid showings for the Bees has seen him return a form rating of 7.47.

8. Harry Kane (Tottenham) - 7.50

Despite going level with Jimmy Greaves as Tottenham's record scorer, Harry Kane has dropped down the form leaderboard, returning a rating of 7.50 across his last six league outings. Kane has scored three goals in his last six outings, and is at risk of falling out of the top 10 altogether if he doesn't perform in Sunday's welcome of Manchester City.

7. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 7.52

Another big name dropping down the top 10, Bruno Fernandes may have claimed an assist in Manchester United's 3-2 loss at Arsenal, but he put in a sub-par display overall and this saw him fall to seventh. That being said, Fernandes has still returned an impressive form rating of 7.52 after a period where he looks to be back to his best.

6. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) - 7.54

Back in the top 10 form rankings, after a two-game(!) goal drought, Erling Haaland has scored four times in his last two league outings as Manchester City remain on the coattails of league leaders Arsenal. However, a two-goal salvo against Leeds will be the next to drop out of contention, so he needs a strong performance against Tottenham this weekend to keep his place in the top 10.

5. Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) - 7.59

Having pushed and pushed for top spot, Martin Odegaard has fallen to fifth in the form rankings having struggled to impose himself in Arsenal's 3-2 win over Manchester United. Crucially for Odegaard is that his next appearance will push a man of the match showing against Wolves out of contention, so he needs to be at his very best against Everton on Saturday to rise up the leaderboard.

4. Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest) - 7.59

Pipping Odegaard to fourth is Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White. Forest were rocked by the news that Gibbs-White faces a spell on the sidelines having come off against Manchester United in midweek, which is a blow given his good form of late.

3. Casemiro (Manchester United) - 7.61

Whereas Fernandes has dropped down the form rankings, Casemiro has soared into the top three as he continues to thrive for Manchester United. The Brazilian missed the 3-2 loss to Arsenal as he was suspended, which perhaps aided his rise into a podium spot. Casemiro was solid in United's meeting with Crystal Palace last month, so fans will expect a repeat on Saturday.

2. Solly March (Brighton) - 7.74

There is a new form rankings leader after Solly March dropped into second on the leaderboard. While March's WhoScored form rating remains a strong 7.74, a disappointing display at Leicester impacted his place at the top of the standings, and he'll be looking to get back on track against Bournemouth this weekend.

1. Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) - 7.93

Surging back into top spot, Kieran Trippier's form rating of 7.93 is the best in the Premier League ahead of league duties resuming tonight. The right-back put in an excellent display against Crystal Palace last month, and was unfortunate not to register an assist having made eight key passes. Next up for Trippier and Newcastle is the welcome of West Ham, and he'll be out to retain first.
