It now means that Neymar’s WhoScored rating over the his last six league outings is an impressive 8.67 as he capitalised on Lionel Messi’s absence to secure top spot this week.
He wasn’t the only riser at the summit as Raheem Sterling takes second spot in the leaderboard as he, like Neymar, put in a perfect 10 performance as Manchester City swept Southampton to one side on Sunday. Sterling scored two and assisted two in a 6-1 win and it means his WhoScored rating over his last six Premier League outings is an impressive 8.31. Thorgan Hazard rounds off the top three in-form players, with the Belgian retaining third spot, while brother Eden returns to the top-10 after his return from injury.
Eden Hazard is one of four new qualifiers in the player form rankings along with Dries Mertens, who thrived in Napoli’s 5-1 win over Empoli, as did teammate Lorenzo Insigne, another new qualifier, while Nantes star Gabriel Boschilia rounds off the quartet of new entries. Nantes teammate Emiliano Sala also makes the cut, with the Argentine thriving in France of late.
Suso, Cristiano Ronaldo, David Silva, Fernandinho and Willian were among those to drop down the top 20 leaderboard, with Suso knocked off of top spot by Neymar this week. Luis Suarez rose from 20th to fourth in the rankings after a fine showing against Rayo Vallecano, while Joan Jordan, Gaetan Laborde and Joelinton round off the top 10.
Strikers Ciro Immobilie and Sebastien Haller rose up the rankings after man of the match displays for Lazio and Eintracht Frankfurt, respectively, while City star Sergio Aguero also forced his way into 16th as he, like Sterling, landed a perfect 10 rating in their 6-1 triumph over Saints.
