CRF Cluj are in a fantastic position to qualify for the next round of the Europa League after recording their second successive 1-0 win over Rennes. Giedrius Arlauskis turned in a WhoScored Man of the Match display for the Romanian outfit after making 11 saves to ensure all three points for his side - a record in a Europa League game this season.

 

Right-back: Reinhold Rantfl (LASK) - 9.06 rating

 

LASK pulled off a shock 4-1 win at home to PSV Eindhoven on Thursday night to move above the Dutch side into second place in Group D. Right-back Reinhold Rantfl secured the WhoScored Man of the Match award after playing a direct hand in two goals (one goal, one assist). The 27-year-old impressively had six shots and registered six key passes.

 

Centre-back: Igor Plastun (Gent) - 8.47 rating

 

Gent came from behind to secure a hugely impressive 3-1 win at Wolfsburg to take the outright lead in Group I. Centre-back Igor Plastun didn't score but played a crucial role at the back to ensure Gent left Germany with all three points. The 29-year-old equalled the record for more interceptions in a Europa League game this season (10) and denied Wolfsburg the chance to stage a late comeback with a clearance off the line with the score 3-1 - one of seven clearances.

 

Centre-back: Zinho Vanheusden (Standard Leige) - 8.53 rating

Zinho Vanheusden doesn't usually feature for Standard Liege in the Europa League but with a domestic suspension looming the 20-year-old stepped in against Frankfurt and the Belgian outfit reaped the rewards in their surprise 2-1 victory. The young defender put Standard Liege into the lead before the hour mark, one of two shots on target. Vanheusden won six aerial duels in total and made nine tackles and interceptions combined.

Left-back: Filip Kostic (Frankfurt) - 8.03 rating

Football INDEX share price - £1.73

 

Frankfurt fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat away to Standard Liege but Filip Kostic did his best to get a share of the points for his side. The Serbia international scored for the second game running to equalise for Frankfurt on Thursday and hit the target three times from five attemptsin total. Kostic also registered four key passes and completed two dribbles.

 

Right wing: Munir El Haddadi (Sevilla) - 10.0 rating

Sevilla forward Munir El Haddadi is one of two players with a perfect WhoScored 10 rating in our best rated XI. The former Barcelona youngster scored a hat-trick for Sevilla in their 5-2 victory away to F91 Dudelange, more goals than he managed in his previous eight games combined this season (2). The 24-year-old scored three goals from six shots, registered five key passes and completed two dribbles.

 

Central midfield: Esteban Granero (Espanyol) - 10.0 rating

 

Espanyol are on the brink of qualifying for the next round of the competition after their huge 6-0 win over nearest rivals Ludogarets Razgrad. Former Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero recorded a perfect WhoScored 10 rating after registering two assists in the win and completed more than 90% of his passes for the third game running in the competition. Granero also set a record for the most key passes in a Europa League game this season (9).

 

Central midfield: Lucas Sousza (APOEL Nicosia) - 8.33 rating

 

APOEL Nicosia have given themselves a great chance of qualifying for the knockout stage after their 2-1 win at home to Qarabag, with midfielder Lucas Sousza starting their comeback on Thursday before the hour mark. The 29-year-old turned in a commanding display in midfield, completing three dribbles and winning five fouls for his side. Not only that, but the Brazilian won five tackles and interceptions combined.

 

Left wing: Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) - 8.87 rating

It was a frustrating evening in part for Marcus Rashford though the 22-year-old did eventually get his goal. Rashford hit the target with four of his six attempts on goal, often denied by great goalkeeping by the Partizan shot-stopper. A slight deflection denied Rashford an assist for Mason Greenwood's opener but he still registered two key passes. Manchester United's No.10 also completed five dribbles and impressively completed 91.9% of his passes - a personal best in the competition this season.

Munas Dabbur has endured a frustrating time at Sevilla this season but the 27-year-old helped himself in their 5-2 win on Thursday. Dabbur played a direct hand in three of the goals, twice scoring and also registering one assist. The Israel international scored twice from three shots and registered his assist from three key passes. He also won three fouls for his side.

 

Striker: Myron Boadu (AZ Alkmaar) - 8.57 rating

 

18-year-old Myron Boadu's stunning recent form continued on Thursday, as AZ Alkmaar thrashed FC Astana 5-0 away from home. Boadu scored twice and registered one assist in the victory and it now means the teenager has played a direct hand in seven goals in his last four appearances for the Dutch side. AZ Alkmaar will join United into the next phase from Group L if they avoid defeat to Partizan in their next game.
