Ziyech sparkles for Chelsea in Premier League Team of the Week
Chelsea newboys Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell both impressed over the weekend in the Blues' 4-1 win over Sheffield United to make the Premier League team of the week, dominated by West Ham after their 1-0 win over Fulham.

Lukasz Fabianski (West Ham) - 7.82
The first of three West Ham players kick off the Premier League team of the week. The Hammers secured a late 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday night, with Lukasz Fabianski playing a key role for David Moyes' side between the sticks. The Polish shotstopper made three saves in a clean sheet attaining performance, including a late penalty stop to deny Ademola Lookman, to make the XI with a WhoScored rating of 7.82.
Matty Cash (Aston Villa) - 7.81
Aston Villa secured a mightily impressive 3-0 win at Arsenal on Sunday night as they bounced back from back-to-back defeats in fine fashion. Matty Cash put in another solid shift from right-back for Dean Smith's side, making six clearances, three tackles and three interceptions, with his showing at the back ensuring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to muster a shot, and in the process return a WhoScored rating of 7.81.
Scott Dann (Crystal Palace) - 7.82
The first of two Crystal Palace players to make the Premier League team of the week, Scott Dann netted his first Premier League goal since the 2017/18 season in the Eagles' 4-1 win over Leeds on Saturday, scoring with his only shot in the victory. Eight clearances and a 90.5% pass success rate contributed towards Palace's resounding win and sees Dann make the team of the week with a WhoScored rating of 7.82.
Aaron Cresswell (West Ham) - 8.10
Partnering Dann at the heart of the defence with a WhoScored rating of 8.10, Aaron Cresswell was unfortunate not to open the scoring early in the second half as one of his two shots in West Ham's 1-0 win over Fulham struck the woodwork. What's more, Cresswell was unlucky not to bag an assist in the narrow victory as he created four goalscoring chances to contribute towards his inclusion in the Premier League team of the week.
Ben Chilwell (Chelsea) - 7.97
Ensuring an all-English backline in the Premier League best XI of gameweek eight, Ben Chilwell scored his second Premier League goal for Chelsea in their 4-1 win over Sheffield United on Saturday. The left-back hit the back of the net with one of three shots at Stamford Bridge and could have had an assist to his name, too, having mustered two key passes to feature in this XI with a WhoScored rating of 7.97.
Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea) - 8.87
Another new Chelsea arrival makes the Premier League team of the week with Hakim Ziyech excelling for the Blues against Sheffield United. The Moroccan provided assists for Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva to hit the back of the net against the Blades, those coming from a total of six key passes on Saturday. Ziyech drew four fouls in a man of the match showing that saw him yield a WhoScored rating of 8.87.
Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 9.09
Manchester United secured a 3-1 win at Everton on Saturday afternoon, with Bruno Fernandes having a direct hand in all three goals at Goodison Park. The Portugal international scored twice in the first half as he netted with two of six shots, and provided the assist for Edinson Cavani's first Manchester United goal. Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace) - 9.13
Rounding off the midfield is the WhoScored player of the week. Eberechi Eze scored his first Premier League goal for his new club with a sublime free kick midway through the first half, finding the top corner from 25 yards. Eze's first goal came after his first assist, where he turned provider for Scott Dann, with his goal and assist coming from respective returns of two shots and two key passes. Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) - 9.12
Narrowly missing out on the Premier League player of the week gong, Ollie Watkins is the second Aston Villa player to make the best XI. The Villa striker bagged his fifth and sixth league goals of the season in a man of the match showing at Arsenal on Sunday night. Two of his three shots hit the back of the net in Villa's 3-0 victory at the Emirates as he tormented the Gunners backline, completing three dribbles, to contribute towards a WhoScored rating of 9.12.
Harry Kane (Tottenham) - 8.47
With a WhoScored rating of 8.47, Harry Kane completes the Premier League team of the week to join Ollie Watkins on the frontline. Kane scored a late header in a 1-0 win at West Brom to send Tottenham temporarily top, with that goal coming from one of seven shots at the Hawthorns. Kane should have added an assist to his name at the Baggies as he made four key passes, while three dribbles and three aerial duels won helped secure his place in attack.
