WhoScored Tipster: Top Sunday Betting Tips

Another weekend of action across Europe's top 5 leagues is upon us, and the WhoScored tipster is back with the top bets this coming Sunday. Every team that is still in the Champions League is in action on Saturday, so this provides an opportunity to take a look at some of the slightly less celebrated teams.

Fiorentina vs AC Milan - Preview

As Serie A reaches is climax, there will be few bigger games in the run-in than this, as Fiorentina, the team with the best home record in the league, host Milan, the team that has picked up the most points in the second half of the season. Mario Balotelli, having joined in January, may not have yet tasted defeat in the rossoneri jersey, but this could well be his biggest challenge yet. La Viola have won 11 and lost just 1 of their 15 home league games this season, and have also won their last 4 on the bounce on home soil.

Milan may well be on a 12 game unbeaten streak - the best any Serie A side has experienced all season - but they have only won 3 of their last 7 on the road, and those victories came against the 3 teams currently occupying the places just outside the relegation zone. It might be a difficult time to bet against Milan and back their opponents, but this could be the closest they come to defeat for a while. An ambitious person might back a home win at 2.90, but the more cautious of us (myself included) would go for Fiorentina to avoid defeat at 1.50.

Liverpool vs West Ham - Preview

Although it will hardly be akin to Sol Campbell facing Tottenham or Carlos Tevez returning to Old Trafford, maybe more attention should be paid to Glen Johnson facing the club through which he became a professional, as West Ham travel to Anfield on Sunday afternoon. Reason being that since joining Liverpool, Johnson has scored 7 Premier League goals, the 4 most recent of which have come against his former clubs. One of those has come against Chelsea, while the other 3 have been against West Ham, including the opener at Upton Park earlier this season. Could it be that Johnson raises his game against his old teammates? Maybe. He can be backed at 6.50 to score any time, or 15.00 for the rather unlikely event of him bagging first.

QPR vs Wigan - Preview

It's rare that a Premier League Super Sunday peaks with a game involving either of these sides, but given the precarious position they both find themselves, there is a great deal riding on the result of this match. Both have been decidedly inconsistent all season, though Wigan look like embarking on their traditional end-of-season winning run to safe themselves. QPR are all but down, and anything but a win here will go a long way to confirming that. Both sides will therefore go all out for the win, a tactic which they have employed in recent weeks and has resulted in plenty of goals.

Wigan's last 8 Premier League outings have seen a total of 29 goals (3.6 per game), while 8 of their last 9 games on the road have gone over 2.5. Meanwhile. since successive goalless draws, QPR have seen at least 24 goals in their last 6 games, with all but one going over 2.5. The relegation rivals played out a 2-2 draw at the DW Stadium earlier on in the season and are decent value at 1.80 to provide over 2.5 goals here.

Getafe vs Atletico Madrid - Preview

Both Getafe and Atletico have been in decent form of late, but neither has been finding the net with all that much fluency. Their respective form have been down to solid defensive displays that have seen Getafe keep 4 clean sheets in a row and Atletico concede only twice in their last 6 league games. In fact, there have been under 2.5 goals in Atletico's last 5 games in La Liga, whilst Getafe have also seen under 2.5 goals in each of their last 4 outings. What is more, the clubs played out a goalless draw at the Vicente Calderon earlier this term, and we could well see another low scoring affair. Back under 2.5 goals at 1.65.
