Eriksen ‘happy’ at Tottenham amid talk of new deal

 

Christian Eriksen insists he is ‘happy’ at Tottenham amid talk Mauricio Pochettino’s side want to offer him a new long-term deal.

 

Tottenham have added Eriksen and Son Heung-Min to the list of players they want to offer tie down on new contracts.

 

Eriksen’s current deal is due to expire in 2020 and the Denmark international insists he is happy at the club, which should stand Tottenham in good stead ahead of contract talks.

 

“I am happy to be at the club and have nothing negative to say about [Tottenham] at all,” Eriksen told Danish broadcaster TV3 Sport, via London Evening Standard.

Eriksen was briefly linked with a move to Barcelona over the summer after establishing himself as a key player under Pochettino in recent years.

 

In the last three Premier League campaigns, only Kevin De Bruyne (36) has provided more assists than Eriksen (34).
