Sevilla have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with AC Milan for the signing of Adil Rami.
The French defender departed for Italy just 18 months ago after 3 years at Valencia and will be reunited with former manager Unai Emery.
Rami made 39 league appearances during his time at the San Siro, where he averaged a WhoScored rating of 7.12.
The player was being tracked by Lyon and Manchester United, but Sevilla won the race to secure his signature, which has delighted Sporting Director Mochi.
"It has been a difficult negotiation considering the quality of the player and the suitors he had," he told the club's official website. "But our brand has reinforced us. It was a case of being patient. We had to wait to complete the deal. Rami was our first option, our most desired one."
The 29-year-old becomes Sevilla's fourth summer acquisition after Michael Krohn-Dehli, Gaël Kakuta and Iago Aspas, who spent last season on loan from Liverpool.
