Chelsea are poised to sign Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman for a fee in the region of €25m (£15.8m), according to German newspaper Sportbild.
Jose Mourinho has moved quickly to find a replacement for Filipe Luis, who rejoined Atletico Madrid earlier this month.
Rahman, 21, has attracted a wave of interest from Europe’s elite clubs this summer following a breath-taking season with Bundesliga minnows Augsburg. In fact, no defender made more tackles in Germany’s top-flight last season than Rahman (109).
