Borussia Monchengladbach are hoping to make Andreas Christensen's loan move permanent in the summer.
The young Danish centre-back is currently spending the season at Borussia-Park and has impressed at the heart of the defence, gaining a WhoScored rating of 7.05.
The 19-year-old bagged a brace in Gladbach's 5-1 thumping of Werder Bremen on Friday night and Gladbach boss Andre Schubert is keen to retain his services beyond the end of the campaign.
"I would appreciate it if he would stay at Borussia for a very long time," Schubert said.
"He is a super defender and just a good footballer. This is a decision for (Gladbach Director of Spot) Max Eberl. I can only express my wishes."
