Liverpool and Tottenham have earmarked Leicester City starlet Demarai Gray as a potential summer transfer target, according to The Daily Mail.
Gray, 20, only joined Leicester from Championship side Birmingham City at the start of the season but has struggled to make any impression on Claudio Ranieri.
The England Under-21 international has been tipped for a bright future and could be on the move to one of the biggest sides in the Premier League despite struggling for regular game time at Leicester this season.
Leicester have made a disastrous defence of their Premier League title but Gray has still only managed five starts and his lack of involvement has puzzled many, particularly given the form showed by last season’s PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to sign two wingers in the summer after watching the club’s title challenge derail at the turn of the year, with Bayer Leverkusen ace Julian Brandt at the top of his summer wish list.
However, Gray, who joined Leicester for a measly £3.75m, would be by far the more accessible option of the two. However, Klopp can expect competition from rivals Tottenham, who they face on Saturday, for Gray’s signature.
Only Riyad Mahrez (1 every 34.5 mins) requires fewer minutes per successful dribble in the Premier League for Leicester this season than Gray (every 41.9 mins).
