Manchester City dominate Premier League best-rated November XI

Manchester City dominated in November as they batted Southampton, Manchester United and West Ham to one side with consummate ease. Winning all three matches last month, scoring 13 and conceding just two, it’s no wonder that the Premier League champions were the WhoScored team of the month, returning a rating of 7.34.

Not only that, but City dominate the Premier league team of the month as they boast five players in the XI. Leroy Sane (8.52) is the star man in the side in what is an all Manchester City midfield. Sane scored three and assisted two in November, while only Nathan Redmond (12) completed more dribbles than the young German (11) in England’s top tier.

Raheem Sterling (8.40) was his nearest competitor for top honours, with the flying winger having a direct hand in six goals (three goals, three assists) in November; no player contributed to more. His month included a man of the match display against Southampton. David Silva (8.13), and namesake Bernardo (8.27), complete the midfield, with the former netting three goals last month.

City star striker Sergio Aguero (8.19) rounds off the champions’ contingent after scoring two and assisting two for Pep Guardiola’s side in November, and he’s partnered by Harry Kane (7.93) in attack. The Tottenham star, like Aguero, also scored twice last month, those coming in key wins over over Wolves and Chelsea.

Kane’s Spurs teammate Hugo Lloris (7.35) takes his place between the sticks as he churned out notable displays in wins over Wolves and Crystal Palace. A Liverpool duo operates ahead of Lloris at the back as the Reds secured seven points from nine available. Trent Alexander-Arnold (7.60) and Virgil van Dijk (7.75) make the best XI of the month, with the duo impressing for a Liverpool side that shipped just one goal.

Van Dijk is partnered by Sol Bamba (7.66) at the heart of the backline. The Cardiff City centre-back enjoyed a solid month for the Bluebirds, which included the winning goal in a 2-1 win over Brighton. Rounding off the XI is Everton left-back Lucas Digne (7.39), who continues to go from strength-to-strength under Marco Silva. The Frenchman churned out solid showings in meetings with Brighton, Chelsea and Cardiff, making eight key passes, nine tackles and six interceptions in total.
